L'histoire de Tullibardine remonte à 1488 en tant que
brasserie de bière.
En 1947 la brasserie devient une distillerie active de
whisky, en 1995 la distillerie a arrêté l’activité
Après 8 ans de fermeture, la distillerie Highland a rouvert
ses portes en 2003.
La Tullibardine «The Murray» a mûri pendant 12 ans sur
Bourbon Cask
Distillé en 2007 et mis en bouteille en 2019 avec un fût
de 56,6%, au total 15200 bouteilles ont été embouteillées.
Le nom «Murray» est un hommage à Sir William Murray, il
fut le deuxième marquis de Tullibardine qui combattit dans la première
rébellion jacobite à la bataille de Sheriffmuir en 1715.
NOTE DE DÉGUSTATION
Nez: gingembre frais, zeste de citron, banane, léger et
net.
Goût: assez doux compte tenu du pourcentage d'alcool
élevé, citron, huile de citron vert, quelques notes tropicales (mangue,
litchi), saveur de bois léger et doux. Finale:
Sec, légèrement boisé, citron doux et poivre blanc.

De geschiedenis van Tullibardine gaat terug tot 1488 als

In 1947 wordt de brouwerij een actieve distilleerderij
voor whisky, in 1995 wordt de distilleerderij gesloten.
Na een sluiting van 8 jaar wordt de
Highland-distilleerderij in 2003 heropend.
De Tullibardine « The Murray » heeft 12 jaar op Bourbon
Cask gerijpt
Gedistilleerd in 2007 en gebotteld in 2019 op een
vatsterkte van 56.6%, in total zijn er 15200 flessen gebotteld.
De naam « Murray » is een eerbetoon aan Sir William
Murray hij was de tweede markies van Tullibardine, die heeft gestreden in de
eerste Jacobitische opstand in de Slag bij Sheriffmuir in 1715.
PROEFNOTITIE
Neus: verse gember, citroenschil, banaan, licht en
schoon.
Smaak: vrij zacht gezien de hoge alcohol percentage,
citroen, limoenolie, enkele tropische tonen (mango, lychee) zachte lichte
houtsmaak.
Afdronk: Droog, licht houterig, zoete citroen en witte
peper.

TASTING NOTE
Nose: fresh ginger, lemon zest, banana, light and clean. Taste: quite soft given the high alcohol percentage,
lemon, lime oil, some tropical notes (mango, lychee) soft light wood flavor.
Finish: Dry, slightly woody, sweet lemon and white
pepper.
